Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in guiding government clients with SAP as the Subject Matter Expert. This position requires a strategic mindset, technical expertise, and strong leadership skills to support both the technical and organizational aspects managing the SAP application.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Advise government clients on best practices and strategies with SAP
- Lead and manage the change management process
- Design, coordinate, and deliver testing and training programs for SAP modules to ensure user readiness across the organization.
- Advocate for and align the strategic interests of multiple stakeholder groups to achieve business objectives within the SAP environment.
- Define business and technical requirements and develop comprehensive documentation to support new SAP functionalities.
- Oversee all SAP sustainment activities, including troubleshooting and user training, to maintain operational continuity.
- Lead analytics and manage the preparation of monthly and annual government reports, integrating data from various sources.
- Interface with executive leadership to provide technical recommendations, present solutions, and support decision-making.
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) across multiple programs, domains, or technology stacks.
- Conduct research and apply best practices and emerging technologies to achieve technical innovation and efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 12–15 years of relevant experience in software engineering (or 10–13 years with a Master’s degree).
- Expertise in system integration, software testing, and infrastructure development.
- Experience working in high-stakes environments requiring precision and performance.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, including presenting to executives.
- Proven expertise in change management, testing, and training for large-scale systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience with SAP ECC and S/4 HANA implementations.
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Demonstrated success in influencing technical strategy at the program or enterprise level.
