Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a skilled Cloud Database Administrator to support a cloud development effort for the Department of the Treasury. This initiative focuses on building multi-cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP to meet enterprise-wide infrastructure needs. This is a fully-remote opportunity requiring U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities of the Cloud Database Administrator include:
- Administer and optimize relational and open-source databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and AWS managed services (RDS, Aurora, Redshift).
- Lead database migration efforts from on-premises to AWS, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Implement and maintain database failover, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Automate routine database tasks using scripting languages and AWS Lambda.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance using AWS CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
Qualifications for the Cloud Database Administrator include:
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience (9+ years without a degree).
- Hands-on experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and AWS database services (Aurora, RDS, Redshift).
- Familiarity with AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, Lambda).
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Shell) and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail).
- Strong understanding of database recovery, performance, and security.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Compensations for the Network Engineer Include:
- Salary Range: $100,000 - 115,000. *depending on experience*
