Great Hill is seeking a ServiceNow Migration Specialist (Oracle to ServiceNow) in Washington, DC. This position supports Department of State's Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) office which is charged with strategic oversight and effective management of IT resources. It ensures that these investments align with the agency's mission, strategic goals, and budget, while minimizing risks and maximizing returns throughout the IT lifecycle. The office fosters collaboration, transparency, and data-driven decision-making to ensure IT investments align with organizational goals and deliver value to the mission.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and understand Oracle functionalities, processes, and data models for ServiceNow requirements.
  • Design and implement data migration strategies from Oracle to ServiceNow, ensuring data integrity.
  • Develop integrations between ServiceNow and other systems using technologies like REST/SOAP, APIs, and ServiceNow's Integration Hub.
  • Manage the system migration lifecycle from planning to deployment, focusing on the Oracle to ServiceNow transition.
  • Configure ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) modules (e.g., Strategic Portfolio Management)to meet business requirements, with ability for some customization.
  • Develop scripts, workflows, and business rules for automation and data processing in ServiceNow.
  • Create and execute test plans, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate system functionality and data accuracy.
  • Provide training and documentation for users on adopting the platform.
  • Offer support and troubleshooting for ServiceNow integrations and issues.
  • Stay updated on ServiceNow features, best practices, and release updates.
  • Ensure integrations comply with government security standards and requirements.
  • Collaborate with various teams for successful project delivery.

Basic Qualifications:

Education and Certifications:
  • Secret Clearance
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification or ServiceNow Implementation Specialist is required, with additional ServiceNow certifications highly preferred.

Expertise:
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) as a ServiceNow professional with a focus on implementations, integrations, and configuring ServiceNow solutions for various business use cases.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, web technologies, and integration technologies like REST and SOAP is essential.
  • Deep understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, database schema, and integrations.
  • Experience in migrating systems from Oracle to ServiceNow (data migration and integration).
  • A strong understanding of Oracle database structures and functionality is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).

Interpersonal skills:
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with strong client and project management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, time management, proactive communication skills, presenting technology as business solutions.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to adapt to changing project demands.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
