What you will achieve
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you’ll play a key role in securing and maintaining the integrity of my client’s corporate environments. Your responsibilities will include:
Designing and Implementing Security Solutions: Develop and implement robust security strategies for cloud-native and on-premises infrastructure and applications.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively assess and enhance security practices to stay ahead of evolving threats.
Collaboration: Partner with IT and compliance teams to embed security best practices across devices, applications, and operational workflows.
Security Audits and Assessments: Support audits by providing required evidence and executing on recommendations to strengthen the security posture.
Incident Response and Management: Lead detection, response, and remediation of security incidents to minimize impact on operations.

You’re an experienced cybersecurity professional with a strong grasp of cloud-native technologies and a proven record in securing complex, dynamic environments. This role gives you the opportunity to shape the security landscape of a mission-driven organization.
Background and Experience
You bring a solid background in cybersecurity with at least 5–7 years of experience, particularly in integrating enterprise cloud services with cybersecurity tools. You understand cloud security principles, including IAM, encryption, and network security.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in deploying and managing cloud-based security tools such as MDM, Zero Trust, and SIEM/SOAR platforms
Strong scripting and automation experience (PowerShell, Bash)
Experience creating secure server environments using AMIs and implementing both commercial and open-source security tools
Regularly updating and maintaining security compliance across environments
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
Skilled at building internal tools to support evolving security requirements
Qualifications
Secret clearance or eligible
(Preferred but not required): Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
5+ years of cybersecurity experience, with a focus on cloud environments
Relevant certifications such as:
CISSP
CCSP
AWS Certified Security
GCSA
OSCP
GCLD (or equivalents)
Technical Proficiency
Experience with major cloud platforms
Scripting and automation fluency
Implementation, maintenance, and hardening of security tools
Familiarity with Linux, Windows, and macOS operating systems and command-line interfaces
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and investigative mindset
Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks
