The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Lead V irtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT) Software Engineer & Product Owner (Associate or Mid- Level) to support our VMT team l o cated in Jacksonville, Florida . This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Services (B D S) business organization.

Boeing Global Services is currently seeking Software Engineers to become part of the Training Systems team in Jacksonville, Florida. Training Systems is responsible for the design, development, manufacture, and maintenance training devices for a wide variety of commercial and military aircraft - everything from F-15 fighter jets to Apache attack helicopters, and even P8-A.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate or Mid- Level Software Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
  • Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
  • Collaborate software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
  • Lead a technical solution while keeping track of schedule and budget.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
  • 2+ years of experience in software development utilizing Java, C++ or C#
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying software programs
  • 2+ years of experience writing and testing software
  • 2+ years of architecting software solutions
  • 1+ years Leading a Software Project


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Unity3D development experience
  • Virtual Maintenance Training experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
  • Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system.
  • Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities.
  • Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics.
  • Plans, executes and documents software research and development projects.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
  • Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.
  • Works under minimal direction.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations .

Summary Pay Range for Mid-level experience : $110,500 - $149,500
