MTSI is seeking a highly skilled Algorithm Developer to join our high-performing team supporting Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis efforts for a new MDA project. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of engineers & scientists to prototype and implement advanced algorithms and physics-based models for high-fidelity simulation efforts. Responsibilities include exploring and testing algorithms, analyzing performance trends, and identifying shortfalls. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing EO/IR & RF sensor systems, State Estimation methods, AI/ML technology, and Data fusion.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics (Master's or PhD preferred)
- 5 years of experience in implementing complex models and algorithms to support engineering and scientific research
- Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for algorithm development and data analysis
- Strong proficiency with Linux, including command line and shell scripting
- In-depth knowledge of EO/IR and/or RF sensor systems
- Expertise in Kalman filters, Extended Kalman Filters (EKF), and Unscented Kalman Filters (UKF)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts, multi-task, and adapt to changing priorities
- Active Security Clearance required, Top Secret clearance desired; US citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12 years of related experience
- Experience with Missile Defense Systems
- Proficiency in C or C++ programming languages
- Expertise in EO/IR detection, image processing, tracking, and discrimination
- Experience with the fusion of EO/IR and RF sensor data
- Familiarity with 6-DOF simulations and/or Kill Vehicle operations
- Experience with AFSIM (Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling)
- Background in machine learning and artificial intelligence applications
