Position Overview

Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) is seeking a Mid-Level Data Scientist / Technical Analyst to provide direct analytic and technical support to cyber and technical operations in a high-risk mission environment. The ideal candidate will work with stakeholders to assess analytic problems, develop data-driven solutions, automate data collection, and synthesize complex intelligence data into actionable assessments, visualizations, and models.

This role requires hands-on experience with data science techniques, cyber operations, and familiarity with SIGINT and Intelligence Community (IC) environments. The candidate will help drive analytic innovation, integrate new data sources, and guide the development of analytic frameworks in support of high-impact mission objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to define requirements and propose IT and data science solutions to meet mission needs

• Advise on analytic methods, tools, and data sources applicable to cyber and technical problems

• Develop and deploy systems, tools, and strategies for collecting, analyzing, and automating exploitation of complex datasets

• Integrate and evaluate structured and unstructured data using statistical, geospatial, and machine learning models

• Conduct analysis using Elastic Query Language, SQL, and Kibana dashboards

• Create and present complex technical reports, briefings, and visualizations to mission and liaison partners

• Leverage data management platforms to support decisions and optimize analytic outcomes

• Anticipate and model possible outcomes using scenario planning, ML models, and agent-based simulations

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in data science, cyber analysis, or technical intelligence support

• Demonstrated experience with SIGINT collection, analysis, and operations

• Demonstrated ability to develop analytic tools or systems to exploit complex data sets

• Proficient in SQL scripting, Elastic Query Language, and building Kibana dashboards

• Experience in advanced cyber operations, including network protocols, IP address structures, and VM/emulator usage

• Strong written and oral communication skills, including briefing development and technical documentation

Desired Skills

• Experience with management databases and tools

• Experience in geospatial analysis and mission support using SIGINT and GEOINT fusion

• Familiarity with pattern of life analysis, link analysis, and deep-dive forensic techniques

• Experience working with aligned systems, standards, and operational programs

• Ability to support integration of commercial tools into customers environment

• Experience with briefing high-level technical content to shareholders

• Familiarity with critical thinking techniques and issue resolution in dynamic environments

Education Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

• Equivalent professional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree

• Elastic Data Analyst (Required)

• CompTIA Security+, GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI), or AWS Data Analytics (Preferred)
