We are hiring a Senior IT Developer with experience in Full Stack and DevOps to provide technical expertise for software development, deployment, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working within the federal sector .

Work Location: Remote work is authorized; however, on-site work may be required at customer facilities in Washington, D.C.
Security Requirements: FBI criminal checks and fingerprinting at U.S. Capitol Police headquarters, and a Public Trust Tier 2 clearance level required

- Supporting a federal customer as directed and providing technical support and expertise to ensure the efficient development, deployment, and maintenance of software applications.
- Provisioning development environments to include local, virtual, or cloud-based
- Write programming scripts to enhance the functionality and/or appearance of the company website and/or correlated web applications as necessary
- Design, deploy, and maintain deployment scripts and artifact repositories
- Collaborate with development teams, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement solutions to optimize application performance.
- Software performance testing, debugging, and error correction
- Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs to identify and correct errors, isolate areas for improvement, and facilitate general debugging
- Writing scripts to enhance the functionality and appearance of web applications
- Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas
- Install/upgrade software products as required
- Automating routine tasks (e.g., code formatting, testing, linting)
- Other tasks as assigned in support of operational needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-relevant field
- Preferred Certifications: Certified Software Development Professional, (ISC)² CSSLP - Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional, GitHub Actions Certification, AWS Certified Developer, CompTIA Security+
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of similar work experience within the public sector
- Strong skills in developing applications and backend services using C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, JavaScript, jQuery, Node.js, and CSS, Cloud AWS, SQL, GitHub Enterprise
- Experience in automating tasks using scripted languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl
- Development and maintenance of web services; experience with MVC, WCF, and Web APIs preferable
- Experience designing and maintaining user interfaces (UI) with HTML, JavaScript, CSS; experience working with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, Node.js, Chart.js, Bootstrap, preferably with UI Ajax
- Experience developing and maintaining data in relational databases; heavy SQL experience with Stored Procedures, Functions, and performance tuning is required
- Proficiency in building web applications using ASP.NET Core, including experience with MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture.
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core Web API
- Understanding of ASP.NET Core middleware and the ability to implement custom middleware
- Knowledge of dependency injection principles and practices in ASP.NET Core
- Familiarity with ASP.NET Core security features, including authentication, authorization, and data protection
- Proficiency in using Razor syntax for dynamic content generation in views
- Proficiency in using jQuery for DOM traversal and manipulation
- Experience with jQuery event handling for creating interactive user interfaces
- Expertise in making asynchronous HTTP requests using jQuery's AJAX methods, and in integrating and customizing jQuery plugins for various functionalities
- Experience in developing responsive web applications using Bootstrap
- Proficiency in using Bootstrap's grid system for layout design
- Knowledge of Bootstrap components (modals, carousels, navbars, etc.) and customization techniques. Ability to customize Bootstrap themes using CSS and SASS
