Priority consideration will be given to military spouse preference and family member preference eligible residing in the commute area of the duty location for this position. Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily.

- You will serve as an AEGIS MK 99 Fire Control System Specialist in support of Fleet Technical Assists (FTAs) and CASREPS from FDNF and C7F deployed ships.
- You will provide technical and engineering services in the performance, operation, maintenance, Depot Level repair and modernization, system testing/certification and Fleet Technical Support of assigned systems and sub-systems.
- You will provide technical oversight, management and direction to a highly diversified work-force which may be comprised by any combination of up to 30 Japanese shipyard workers, contractors, or USN or USCS personnel.
- You will participate in scheduled shipboard assessment events to assess and validate material and operational readiness of he AEGIS MK 99 Fire Control System.
- You will identify, analyze, and document deficiencies necessary to develop comprehensive repair plans in support of depot level work packages and ship systems lifestyle programs.
- You will provide on-site resolution and/or correction of production, performance, or quality deficiencies on assigned systems for ships.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
