IT - QA and Test
Lorton, VA (On-Site/Office)
Job Number: R0223539
Software Quality Assurance Engineer
The Opportunity:
When a user tries a new system, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful information systems-and that means rigorous testing. That's why we need you, a quality assurance analyst who's eager to help thoroughly test software and ensure that our team releases the best system possible.
As a dedicated Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer on our team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our tactical software capabilities as they are integrated into robust cloud environments. You'll design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases specifically for cloud-native applications and services, focusing on identifying defects related to scalability, security, and performance across major Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). You'll work closely with developers and product managers throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment, validating solutions built with technologies like Java and Rust.
Using software quality assurance, you'll generate problem resolutions and track quality assurance standards to observe how the system performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. You'll expand upon your experience in various types of testing, including manual, automation, performance, and usability. You possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying potential issues and advocate for quality improvements within a dynamic cloud-first development paradigm. This is an opportunity to broaden your skills in documenting and solving system deficiencies.
Work with us to develop systems solutions that further our defense customers' objectives.
