Job Description

As a Armed Security Officer - Medical Facility Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a shelter location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help prevent unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to be prepared and qualified to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will also interact with staff, visitors, and residents, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

* Must be able to pass a Physical Fitness Exam (1 mile run, push-ups & sit-ups) *

*Must have at least 3 years Military, Law Enforcement or Armed Security experience*

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to occupants of the shelter environment.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents.
• Perform security-related checks of doors, windows, and other access points to help to deter breaches.
• Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
