That's why we need you, an experienced GEOINT Ground Manager, to help us evaluate and guide system architectures as they evolve to commercial trends like Agile development, Cloud migration, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles, and streamlined DevOps deployments. This is an opportunity to build your experience and lead teams using the latest open source tools, trends, and techniques on technical issues supporting the mission of our Intelligence Community Customer.
This position will serve as the deputy manager to the GEOINT Ground Senior Manager and will be a senior technical member of a dynamic systems engineering and acquisition team supporting our customer's initiatives. The position requires a candidate with significant manager and/or leadership experience leading teams that are responsible for coordinating and supporting ground requirements, CONOPS, and architectures in the remote sensing domain; supporting enterprise and system level requirements for future systems; overseeing the allocation and closure of acquisition-level requirements with developers; independent verification, validation and test in support of delivered system capabilities and mission closure, participation in readiness events in support of enterprise, system and acquisition-level ground milestones; leading and supporting project planning; assessing schedule and risk; generating and presenting engineering briefings; and interfacing with numerous customers. This position requires an understanding of the intelligence community and customer domain, along with a strong focus on core systems engineering or acquisition processes in support of end-to-end mission and services closure.
The candidate will focus on trades, capability definition, CONOPS generation, and interaction with Mission Partners. The candidate will help customer acquisitions leveraging MBSE and agile principles to define capability roadmaps, Solution Epic generation and features necessary to prioritize developer backlogs in alignment with capability deliveries. The candidate will provide subject matter expertise and agile best practices to teams coordinating CONOPS and architecture products, establishing and translating requirements into features, assessing system and segment schedule and risks, leading readiness and release planning events in support of system and acquisition-level ground milestones, and supporting agile test and DevOps verification strategies and integration of new systems and initiatives in support of expanded GEOINT mission capabilities.
The selected candidate will have the aptitude to assess agile, SE and/or acquisition processes and create efficiencies continuously, and may lead projects for systems team work, have frequent client interactions, and support system and mission strategy development across the various ground offices. The candidate will have daily interaction with the customer and supporting contractors, and will need to follow customer standards and processes as the program matures through the life cycle. Manager responsibilities include hiring and recruiting, employee mentoring and career development, retention and awards, and performance assessment and management.
Candidate will interact with multiple Acquisition Offices (AOs) and facilitate risk and action closure with Acquisition Offices and users, and support technical consultation, meeting coordination, and support to recommendation briefings.

- Must possess leadership and supervision experience
- Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly
- Experience with strategic planning and execution

- Knowledge of GEOINT remote sensing systems and overall space and ground architecture including mission management and/or mission processing functions.
- Integration and closure experience within overall customer domain
- Detailed knowledge of customer's mission capabilities (to include GEOINT and Multi-INT domains) and overall space and ground architecture
- Expertise in mission technical capabilities and system performance analysis and assessment
- Experience identifying user needs and gaps, identifying potential solutions, and assessing/analyzing alternatives
- Experience in supporting Requirements Engineering, CONOPs development, and system integration within MBSE construct to accommodate End to End Systems Engineering
- Commitment to recognize, understand, respect and operate effectively within various SETA, FFRDC, and Government lines of authority
Desired:
- Familiarity with overall GEOINT ground customer, technical familiarity with mission control and/or processing of one or more GEOINT systems, including sensor knowledge.
- Knowledge of, and experience defining SOWs and executing acquisition activities and practices
- Knowledge of, and experience defining and executing, MBSE standards and practices
- Hands-on experience of developing system models in SysML with a recognized MBSE tool, preferably CAMEO.
- Adaptability to define and sustain MBSE principles, processes and standards within an agile development framework
- Ability to work for specific IC customer and familiarity with that customer's processes and organization.
