Responsibilities
PeopleTec is currently seeking a SATCOM Systems Analyst to support our Peterson SFB, CO location.
The candidate will provide technical services to MUOS support for activities required under the direction of the FMS Case Officer. The contractor shall manage and support all operational and technical related aspects of the Canadian MUOS FMS Case in accordance with agreements established by the Canadian MUOS FMS Implementation and Operations and Sustainment Case Letters of Offer and Acceptance.

The candidate will provide technical services to MUOS support for activities required under the direction of the FMS Case Officer. The contractor shall manage and support all operational and technical related aspects of the Canadian MUOS FMS Case in accordance with agreements established by the Canadian MUOS FMS Implementation and Operations and Sustainment Case Letters of Offer and Acceptance.
Duties Include:
- Maintain duties as a direct liaison with the U.S. Military Departments, Joint Staff, Defense Information Systems Agency, the Canadian Department of Defence (DND), the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and the users of SATCOM systems as directed to provide necessary support to the FMS Case Officer responsibilities.
- Assist in MUOS operational support that includes local terminal provisioning and satellite access tool, spectrum planning and management, key management, SATCOM service management, crypto user key distribution, Canadian interface reporting, resource allocation for operations, sustainment activities, service maintenance and user support.
- Use Joint Satellite Management Enterprise (JSME) and subordinate applications, Splunk, and Planning, Provisioning, and Application (PPA) to provide technical and operational planning, system configuration, and operational mission support IAW established processes and in support of Canadian access to Tactical Narrowband Satellite Communication (SATCOM) that provides Canadian users with the ability to communicate over the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS).
- Participate as consultant, advisor, or member in various related meetings and working groups including, but not limited to, the NBWG, FMS Case quarterly meetings with Canada, US Only monthly meetings, and any other Ad Hoc meetings as necessary consistent with task order requirements.
- Use knowledge of SATCOM systems and their relationships to other telecommunications networks.
- Assist in MUOS engineering technical assistance and services that includes satellite access process/SATCOM services, local terminal provisioning and satellite access tool, MUOS Ground System to support Canada-only and Joint US-Canada Generic Discovery Services (GDS) and MUOS network access including reporting on service capacity and usage.
- Assist in the sustainment of the Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation Systems (BICES) network and Canada MUOS FMS SharePoint portal for secure information exchange.
- Provide support on the BICES Canada MUOS FMS SharePoint portal to handle functionality improvements, user support and services, knowledge management, satellite access, terminal provisioning, and reporting processes.
- Develop, prepare, and deliver monthly and as required Canada MUOS usage reports.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience :
- 10 years of Department of Defense (DoD) SATCOM experience
- Knowledge of MUOS and Narrow Band systems is necessary
- Travel: 25 %
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- An active DoD TOP Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active TOP Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
Education Requirements :
- Bachelors of Science Degree (In Engineering Discipline) or relevant experience
Desired Skills :
- Knowledge and use of Joint Satellite Management Enterprise (JSME)
- Knowledge and experience with SPLUNK
- Experience in Planning, Provisioning and System Configuration of MUOS systems
- Significant military familiarity and training in SATCOM
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in SATCOM principles, technical analysis, and problem solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
