Overview
i3 is seeking a highly skilled Production and Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to drive the development, integration, and optimization of advanced C-UAS technologies. The position will be responsible for end-to-end system design, ensuring manufacturability, operational reliability, and performance.

i3 is seeking a highly skilled Production and Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to drive the development, integration, and optimization of advanced C-UAS technologies. The position will be responsible for end-to-end system design, ensuring manufacturability, operational reliability, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead systems engineering processes, ensuring robust system architectures and seamless integration.
- Develop and refine requirements, specifications, and verification plans for CUAS technologies.
- Oversee manufacturing workflows, assembly, and production optimization while maintaining system integrity.
- Implement model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies to enhance design and development. (Preferred)
- Manage trade studies, risk analysis, and performance validation to ensure optimal CUAS functionality.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with S&T, software, hardware, and user teams.
- Conduct and Lead Failure Review Boards, failure mode analysis (FMEA), root-cause investigations, and system reliability improvements.
- Ensure compliance with DoD standards, MIL-SPECs, and aerospace regulations.
- Lead testing, integration, and validation efforts to ensure CUAS effectiveness in real-world scenarios.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- 15+ years of experience in C-UAS, defense, aerospace, or complex systems engineering.
- Deep expertise in production, quality, systems engineering, system architecture, integration, and lifecycle management.
- Strong knowledge of sensor fusion, electronic warfare, and RF signal processing. (Preferred)
- Experience in hardware/software integration, cybersecurity, and data link communications. (Preferred)
- U.S Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance (preferred Active Clearance).

- Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
