Description:
We are seeking a QA / Release Manager to lead the coordination, planning, and execution of software releases across multiple environments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless integration between development, QA, and production environments for a large-scale enterprise system. You will work directly with Agile squads, program managers, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful, timely, and stable software deployments.
Location: Onsite in Cincinnati, OH (5 days/week)
Employment Type: Full-time contract
Duration: Long-term - 6 months with possibility of extension

Responsibilities:
- Oversee integration, testing, and deployment workflows across QA, staging, and production environments
- Develop and maintain comprehensive release plans from QA through post-production
- Coordinate upcoming releases and environment changes with Agile and Program teams
- Act as a liaison between QA, DevOps, Development, Agile Coaches, Product Owners, and Business Stakeholders
- Drive deployment execution, monitor issues, and lead conflict resolution
- Enforce and maintain release management standards to ensure consistent, reliable delivery
- Support continuous integration (CI) efforts and help manage build and deployment pipelines
- Monitor environment uptime and coordinate availability for testing and release cycles
- Identify and report potential risks and contribute to organizational risk management
Experience Requirements:
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong conflict resolution and team coordination skills
- Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, and traditional Waterfall methodologies
- Experience managing release and environment processes in large-scale enterprise settings
- Background working with QA, Development, DevOps, and Production Support teams
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools and development lifecycle practices
- Attention to detail and ability to improve processes and delivery efficiency
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in large-scale digital or cloud transformation projects
- Exposure to tools such as Jenkins, Jira, Git, or configuration management systems
- Understanding of environment control, infrastructure coordination, or change management
