Description:
We are seeking a QA / Release Manager to lead the coordination, planning, and execution of software releases across multiple environments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless integration between development, QA, and production environments for a large-scale enterprise system. You will work directly with Agile squads, program managers, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful, timely, and stable software deployments.

Location: Onsite in Cincinnati, OH (5 days/week)

Employment Type: Full-time contract

Duration: Long-term - 6 months with possibility of extension

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $60 - $71 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee integration, testing, and deployment workflows across QA, staging, and production environments
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive release plans from QA through post-production
  • Coordinate upcoming releases and environment changes with Agile and Program teams
  • Act as a liaison between QA, DevOps, Development, Agile Coaches, Product Owners, and Business Stakeholders
  • Drive deployment execution, monitor issues, and lead conflict resolution
  • Enforce and maintain release management standards to ensure consistent, reliable delivery
  • Support continuous integration (CI) efforts and help manage build and deployment pipelines
  • Monitor environment uptime and coordinate availability for testing and release cycles
  • Identify and report potential risks and contribute to organizational risk management

Experience Requirements:
Must-Have Skills:
  • Strong conflict resolution and team coordination skills
  • Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, and traditional Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience managing release and environment processes in large-scale enterprise settings
  • Background working with QA, Development, DevOps, and Production Support teams
  • Familiarity with continuous integration tools and development lifecycle practices
  • Attention to detail and ability to improve processes and delivery efficiency


Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience in large-scale digital or cloud transformation projects
  • Exposure to tools such as Jenkins, Jira, Git, or configuration management systems
  • Understanding of environment control, infrastructure coordination, or change management
