Our client is searching for a collaborative and visionary Business Architect to join our growing team. Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Architecture, this role will be responsible for designing and optimizing the business architecture that aligns the company's strategies, processes, and technology to support our ambitious growth and innovation goals.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial services business models, process design, and enterprise transformation. As a Business Architect, you will bridge business strategy and operational execution-translating vision into actionable process and capability models, and ensuring alignment across stakeholders, technology, and organizational structure.

Responsibilities:
- Design & Modeling: Develop business capability models, value streams, and operating models to support the company's strategic initiatives and transformation projects.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business leaders, technology teams, and product owners to capture requirements, analyze business needs, and ensure alignment of solutions with strategic goals.
- Process Optimization: Map, analyze, and improve key business processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and client experience.
- Strategic Planning: Partner with executive leadership to define business strategies, identify capability gaps, and recommend solutions that drive competitive advantage.
- Change Enablement: Facilitate change management efforts by communicating architectural changes and their business impacts to stakeholders at all levels.
- Governance: Establish and maintain business architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices, ensuring alignment with regulatory, security, and data governance requirements.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate with IT, product management, operations, and data governance teams to embed business architecture insights into project planning, solution design, and platform evolution.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to inform the business architecture roadmap.
- Documentation: Produce clear and actionable business architecture artifacts (e.g., capability maps, process flows, business requirements documents).
Experience Requirements:
- Business Architecture Expertise: Familiarity with business architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, BIZBOK), capability modeling, and process optimization techniques.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex business challenges into actionable models and solutions.
- Financial Services Acumen: Understanding of wealth management, advisory, and/or financial services business operations and regulatory environment.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, product, and executive leadership.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for technical and non-technical audiences alike.
- Organizational Skills: Strong prioritization and organizational abilities, particularly in fast-paced and evolving environments.
- Change Management: Experience guiding stakeholders through process or organizational change.
- Tools: Proficiency with business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart), Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence), and project management platforms.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Business Architecture certification (e.g., Certified Business Architect, TOGAF) preferred.
