This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities:
- Utilize strong analytical skills to understand business requirements before initiating design and development processes.
- Demonstrate initiative and ownership by independently managing tasks from analysis to testing, collaborating with other tech teams as needed.
- Adhere to and enhance our defined architecture, technology standards, and best practices for applications, middleware, and databases.
- Collaborate with the team and architect to design, prototype, and deliver software solutions, while managing the technical environment, researching new tools and technologies, and developing better analytics solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, assist in debugging, and contribute directly to the success of project deliverables.
Experience Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 7-9 years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST, and NoSQL.
- Experience with Oracle or any other relational database.
- Familiarity with messaging systems such as MQ or Kafka is preferred.
- Knowledge of Micro-Services Architecture, Scalable High Resiliency Systems, and Workflow is preferred.
- Experience with Angular, React, or JavaScript.
- Agile development experience and familiarity with SDLC tools like Maven, Jenkins, and Git.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with messaging systems (MQ/Kafka).
- Understanding of Micro-Services Architecture and scalable, high-resiliency systems.
- Background in the securities or financial services industry.
