Senior Program Manager – Aerospace & Defense Programs

The Opportunity:
Our Space and Defense Group in East Aurora, NY has multiple openings for Senior Program Managers to lead complex, high-value programs supporting aerospace and defense customers. These programs may include advanced flight actuation systems, hypersonic vehicle technologies, missile systems, and other critical defense applications.
In these roles, you will serve as the primary customer interface and be accountable for achieving program objectives in scope, schedule, cost, and performance. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to deliver mission-critical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all phases of assigned programs, from planning through execution and delivery.
• Develop and manage detailed program plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with U.S. Government and defense industry customers.
• Monitor and report program performance, including cost, schedule, risk, and technical status.
• Resolve issues promptly through proactive communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate internal resources and influence cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives.
• Support proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations for new business and change orders.
• Champion process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement within the Program Management organization.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of direct Program Management experience leading complex development or production programs.
• Experience within the Aerospace or Defense industry is required.
• Proven ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously and navigate high-pressure situations.
• Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies, including Earned Value Management and risk management best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels.
• U.S. citizenship required due to federal contract obligations and export control regulations.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance with active clearance strongly preferred.
