Arlluk Technology Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Scrum Master to support ATS and our government customer. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This is a Remote opportunity.

The Scrum Master is an integral component of a team that will support services to modernize the Federal agency's IT capabilities, specifically, the continued build out of the Portal and Loan Underwriting System, designed to assist other Federal Programs with the processing, underwriting, and closing of insured mortgages. Services shall include developing, enhancing, and delivering the Portal and Loan Underwriting System to provide secure, cloud-based technology solutions that will enable the mission, meet the needs of key stakeholders, and increase efficiencies.

The Scrum Master is to assists technical and business SMEs in the team with sound analysis, adoption of best practices and relevant standards, and become a critical axis connecting various components of the project so they can move in a coordinated manner toward achieving the objectives of the project. The ideal candidate is a leader with proven experience in the Scrum framework and Agile methodologies. Below are the qualifications for this role:

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide guidance and coach the Scrum team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality values to the business
  • Drive and inspire a high performing team environment
  • Facilitate and support all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
  • Ensure all Scrum ceremonies take place and are positive, productive, and within the timebox allocated
  • Ensure the Scrum artifacts maximize transparency and promote an understanding of the work to do
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and Business Owners and provide support on Product Backlog management
  • Perform Business Analyst duties working with the business and development team to capture and refine user stories in the Product Backlog.
  • Oversee the Intake process to ensure requests are reviewed and prioritized for work.
  • Create and maintain a rough order of magnitude (ROM) initial estimate of each release
  • Provide the Scrum team ongoing support and coach the team on Scrum principles and values
  • Accountable for supporting the Scrum team to succeed which often time means offering your assistance
  • Provide regular communications to all stakeholders on the status of the Sprint progress
  • Remove impediments by collaborating and making recommendations on the presented issues
  • Remove barriers between stakeholders and the Scrum team
  • Provide Agile metrics as needed by the business and/or Product Owner
  • Establish and maintain trust between the Product Owner, stakeholders, and the Scrum team
  • Create and submit Contract Deliverables (CD) as applicable
  • Ensure a positive and professional Federal client service experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned and needed.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • 3-5+ years' experience in a Scrum Master role supporting a development team
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework
  • Experience and knowledge of JIRA or a similar Agile management tool
  • Experience performing release planning in Scrum and forecasting project roadmaps
  • Experience or knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience or knowledge of various project management methodologies
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, presentation, negotiation, and coaching skills
  • Excellent leadership, management, and soft skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Great time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Federal consulting
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data quality and accuracy

Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain public trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience or knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Experience or knowledge of web development and dashboard/reports
  • Experience or knowledge of MS SQL Server or a relational database

Recommended Certifications:
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or equivalent

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or related
