Position Summary:

Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking a Future Air Operations Coordinator responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating all future air operations in support of emergency response efforts. This role requires collaboration with internal and external partners to ensure aviation support is integrated into incident action planning and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate future air operations in support of incident response
  • Collaborate with partner agencies and command staff for mission planning
  • Ensure aviation mission readiness and resource allocation
  • Contribute to the development of Incident Action Plans (IAPs) and aviation strategies
  • Maintain situational awareness of aviation capabilities and needs
  • Coordinate air asset staging, tasking, and deconfliction as needed
  • Ensure compliance with airspace regulations and safety standards
  • Document future mission requirements and operational objectives

Basic Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of work experience in air operations or aviation mission coordination
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience in planning aviation support in emergency management or military settings
  • Familiarity with ICS and airspace coordination procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic operational environments
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in emergency response aviation logistics or planning
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and airspace management tools
  • Proficiency in mission planning software and systems

  • Performance Location: On-site while on assignment (location TBD)
  • Relocation Assistance: Not applicable
  • Clearance Required: None
  • Travel Required: Yes - up to 100% while on assignment

Working Environment:

Work is performed in Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), air operations coordination centers, or field locations. Extended hours and travel may be required across the continental United States and its territories during emergency activations.
