Amentum has a future opportunity for a On-Site Contract Lead to support a Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems program at Redstone Arsenal near Huntsville, AL.
Core Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the program, interfacing with stakeholders on staffing requirements, performance concerns, and contract-related activities.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between government stakeholders, team members, and subcontractors.
- Oversee the allocation, management, and replenishment of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet contract demands.
- Ensure that all necessary resources are accounted for and available for project requirements.
- Ensure all contract activities comply with relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and security requirements.
- Manage security clearances for personnel and ensure adherence to security protocols, including handling of classified information.
- Manage the phase-in and phase-out transition periods to ensure a smooth handover between contractors.
- Develop and execute transition plans to maintain continuity of operations.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance to ensure alignment with contract requirements and performance objectives.
- Implement corrective actions as needed to address performance issues and maintain high-quality service delivery.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with contract execution.
- Develop strategies to manage potential risks and ensure successful project outcomes.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely submission of all required reports, including monthly cost and status reports and end-of-year reports.
- Maintain detailed documentation of personnel, training, travel, and material costs.
- Address and resolve any issues that arise during the execution of the contract, including staffing, resource allocation, and compliance matters.
- Provide timely solutions and maintain open communication channels with all stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have an Active Top Secret US Government Clearance with SCI eligibility. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project or contract management roles, preferably within the defense or aerospace sectors.
- Proven experience managing large, complex contracts or projects, specifically within Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams effectively.
- Familiarity with the technical aspects of Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) or similar defense systems.
- Understanding of government contracting procedures and regulations, including experience with the OASIS+ IDIQ contract vehicle.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead teams in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with government stakeholders, team members, and subcontractors.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or other relevant certifications.
