Job Description:
The Senior Functional Analyst is the bridge between end-users, business owners, and technical teams, ensuring that DLA’s enterprise applications and processes precisely meet mission needs. You will:
• Elicit and analyze user needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements across logistics, financial, and supply-chain domains
• Perform functional allocation, decomposing high-level requirements into discrete tasks, mapping their interrelationships, and identifying the resources (personnel, data, tools) required for each task
• Develop and maintain artifacts such as business process models, requirements traceability matrices, use cases, and acceptance criteria
• Supervise and mentor support staff, providing daily direction, prioritizing work, and enforcing quality standards
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, testers, and cybersecurity specialists to translate functional requirements into technical solutions and verify that delivered capabilities satisfy user acceptance criteria
• Lead requirements-related reviews (kick-off, design, sprint planning, sprint review), facilitating consensus and capturing action items
• Support change management by assessing impacts of proposed enhancements, updating documentation, and briefing stakeholders
• Champion best practices in requirements management, configuration control, and Section 508 accessibility, ensuring alignment with DoD and DLA policy
Qualifications (Must Haves):
• BA/BS with at least ten (10) years of experience.
• DoD/DLA experience is preferred.
• Must possess an active Secret clearance.
