We’re seeking a Senior Technical Writer to lead the creation of clear, compelling, and technically precise documentation across our programs and products. You will support engineering teams, proposal efforts, and customer-facing deliverables with content that drives understanding, trust, and action — from government RFPs to AI-enabled platform guides to cybersecurity whitepapers.
This role is ideal for a writer who is part technologist, part storyteller, and all-in on mission.
Responsibilities
Write and maintain technical documentation for software products, DevSecOps pipelines, cybersecurity solutions, AI/ML models, and deployable platforms.
Translate highly technical material from engineers and subject matter experts into digestible documents for program managers, acquisition leads, and operational end users.
Lead the development of whitepapers, user guides, API documentation, operational manuals, and architecture overviews.
Create proposal volumes (technical, management, past performance) and ensure compliance with FAR, OTA, or CSO requirements.
Collaborate with product, engineering, cyber, and AI teams to define documentation needs and implement version-controlled docs in Git, Confluence, or markdown-based repositories.
Support branding and visual storytelling by working with graphic designers to co-develop diagrams and mission narratives.
Maintain templates and establish documentation best practices to support rapid scaling of technical teams and repeatable proposal submissions.
Qualifications
Required:
7+ years of experience writing technical documentation for software, cybersecurity, cloud, or AI/ML solutions.
Deep familiarity with one or more of: Agile/SAFe environments, DevSecOps practices, Kubernetes, Zero Trust, cloud-native systems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience supporting federal proposals (e.g., RFPs, OTAs, SBIRs, BAAs) and documentation with security or compliance constraints.
Strong editorial, copywriting, and storytelling skills — able to communicate clearly across different levels of technical depth.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and short deadlines.
Preferred:
Experience supporting DoD, IC, or national security missions.
Familiarity with markdown, Git, Confluence, and code-centric documentation approaches.
Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
