Sr. Oracle Database Software Engineer

Job Description:
ITEC is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Software Engineer to support our teams in Aurora, CO. We provide end-to-end space solutions – from ground control systems to on-orbit sensors – to keep our customers informed and ahead of the threat. Each day, ground stations receive vast amounts of data from satellites in orbit. Using complex algorithms, they process all the bits and bytes received and turn them into useable information for the end users who consume this data. As the volume of data grows, ground stations need to evolve and adapt.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work as a Database engineer with a team of skilled Software Engineers developing Satellite Ground Stations Software.
- Perform software development of large-scale database solutions.
- Troubleshoot and fix complex software problems.
- Performance tuning of database objects and queries.
- Installation, patching, and upgrades of Oracle Database Software.
Required Skills:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior, relevant experience.
- Experience with Oracle 19c RAC Database Administration.
- Experience with BASH or other similar scripting language.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Oracle DataGuard.
- Experience with Oracle Multitenant Architecture.
- Experience with Chef or Ansible automation.
- Experience with some area of satellite ground system software.
- Experience with Atlassian Tools.
- Experience with Agile Development.
