Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Contracts Professional level 3 (Principal Contracts Administrator) or Contracts Professional level 4 (Sr. Principal Contracts Administrator) to join its team of qualified and diverse individuals supporting its Strategic Deterrent Systems Division. The Strategic Deterrent Systems Division reports to the Defense Systems Sector as well as directly to the Northrop Grumman Corporate Office. The preferred location for this position is in Roy, UT, at the Roy Innovation Center Campus, and relocation assistance may be available.

The successful candidate will support the large, complex, high-profile Sentinel Program (otherwise known as Ground Based Strategic Deterrent, or GBSD), and work closely on a day-to-day basis with Managers, Directors, Vice Presidents, and rocket scientists and engineers! Sentinel is in the development stage and is to modernize the ground-based leg of the Nation's strategic nuclear triad, which is the bedrock of U.S. national security. At a current contract value of over $13B, Sentinel represents one of the largest and most high-profile Northrop Grumman programs, with countless career and growth opportunities.

This position requires an understanding of US Federal Government contracting, excellent communication skills, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills. The ideal candidate is a team player; but also, a strong independent contributor with strong leadership skills, demonstrated problem-solving skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division is seeking a Business Development (BD) Operations Analyst. This position will be a direct report to the Division BD Operations Manager and will perform a variety of operational and pipeline analysis tasks in support of the Division's Business Units (BU) (BU Sr. Managers, BD Leads, Capture Leads). You will play a key role in supporting the Division BD team in a variety of ways including SDS BAP pipeline analysis, tracking, and metrics reporting; tools training and support; and assisting with other operations and project management duties. This position is located in Roy, UT.

• Work with Division and BU Managers, BD Leads, and Capture Leads in the creation, update, maintenance, and tracking of SDS pipeline opportunity pursuits in Salesforce.

• Plan, organize, and facilitate Division and/or BU BD team pipeline meetings and provide, present, or display associated data content as required. Help keep the team on time and on target with recurring meetings and reviews.

• Help the BD team align Salesforce pipeline data with other major functional area data such as the Business Management team's AOP/LRSP development.

Metrics and Reporting:

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and charts to meet Division reporting requirements, and assist with preparation of briefing content/charts. Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of reports in line with planned meetings/reviews.

• Perform detailed pipeline analysis and clearly communicate changes to status and outlook to Division management, and BU Managers, BD Leads, and Capture Leads.

• Support and coordinate across SDS Division BUs and assimilate required data submittal in response to Sector or Division BD data calls.

Collaboration and Integration:

• Act as a liaison between Division and BU BD teams. Assist with other operational and integration tasks as requested by manager and leadership.

• Collaborate with the customer engagement team as requested to help input customer meeting data in Salesforce.

Basic Qualifications

This position may be filled at a Principal level or Sr. Principal level
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 or more years of work experience, or an Associate's degree and 6 or more years of relevant experience. (For Sr. Principal Level, Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 6 or more years of work experience with strong preference for a major defense industry prime contractor)
  • Active Secret clearance to start - with ability to obtain TS and/or TS/SCI within 6 to 12 months

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary Range: $86,600.00 - $130,000.00Salary Range 2: $107,800.00 - $161,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
