Description:The candidate will provide engineering support for the maintenance and operations of the High Energy Computed Tomography (HECT) system required to support processing of the D5 weapon system at SWFLANT in Kings Bay, Georgia.
This position will be located in the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Test Equipment Engineering organization as a radiographic console Support Engineer. This individual shall provide engineering support associated with X-Ray operations at the Radiographic Inspection Building (RIB); provide engineering support in failure diagnosis of High Energy Computed Tomography (HECT) systems and low energy X-Ray systems, as well as the diagnosis and repair of console electronic subcomponents. As directed, the candidate will coordinate integrated testing activities with RIB manufacturing, the customer, and outside organizations. This individual will review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of test programs. The candidate will participate in the installation, maintenance, and checkout of required test equipment and software, and perform investigations of system problems and failures discovered during test activities. This individual will initiate and lead corrective action investigations and determine final corrective action on X-ray consoles and initiate corrective action documentation within authorized reporting systems. The candidate will prepare/proof associated documentation for automatic and manual test procedures. The individual will perform analysis of test results and prepare subsequent reports, as well as perform analysis of failed parts and initiate investigations of those failed parts. Occasional travel will be required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent from an accredited college.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
• The selected candidate is required to be a U.S. Citizen. The candidate cannot be a dual citizen.
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated competency in troubleshooting electrical system.
• Demonstrated competency providing technical guidance for equipment analysis and repair through disposition of failure documentation.
• Demonstrated competency interfacing with customers, both internal and external, to develop equitable solutions to issues.
• Familiarity with X-Ray system fundamentals.
• Familiarity with electrical test consoles.
• Familiarization with test and data collection instruments.
• Experience with design and design concepts of industrial electrical and/or electronic systems.
• Knowledge and proficiency in data acquisition systems, motion control and mixed signal electronics.
• Experience at a Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) field site.
• Familiarity with Object Oriented Programming Language.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
• Must be willing to work around ordnance.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
