Description:Overview
You will be a Production Operations Manager for the Precision Fires programs within the Tactical Missiles Line of Business at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control. Our team is responsible for managing all program aspects related to Production Operations and manufacturing, with an emphasis on design for producibility and positioning products for full life cycle success. We're looking for a highly experienced and skilled leader to join our team and serve as the deputy to the Prod-Ops Sr Manager.

What You Will Be Doing
As a Production Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and driving the achievement of the most producible solutions for our customers, and delivering scalable manufacturing solutions to future production teams and Lines of Business. You will manage and lead Precision Fires programs production, development, or international scope, as well as activities including cost, schedule, and quality, for multiple manufacturing sites, engineer labs, IRAD efforts, and multiple external suppliers.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing and leading Precision Fires programs production, development, or international scope
* Leading and driving the achievement of the most producible solutions for customers
* Delivering scalable manufacturing solutions to future production teams and Lines of Business
* Managing cost, schedule, and quality for multiple manufacturing sites, engineer labs, IRAD efforts, and multiple external suppliers
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and supply chain, to ensure successful production outcomes
* Developing and implementing strategies to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality
* Serving as the deputy to the Prod-Ops Sr Manager and providing support and guidance to the production operations team

Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in related discipline
* A broad base of knowledge regarding electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical production
* A broad base of knowledge of setting up new production line / facility
* Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization including to non-technical personnel.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated skills in team building and leading through influence
* Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
Desired Skills:
* Related professional level career experience in production operations.
* Production Operations experience within the Precision Fires Programs.
* Experience in program execution with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and leadership.
* Experience in capacity & capital planning.
* Understanding and wide application of assembly and Test methods.
* First Unit Flow planning & execution
* Manufacturing & Test Statement of Work
* Proposal development experience
* Experience with Make-Buy Generation
* Experience in the design of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining and material handling.
* CAM Certification or cost analysis experience such as Earned Value Management System
* Design for manufacturing and design for affordability (DFM/DFA)
* Knowledge of the SAP MRP production control system

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
