Description
Responsible to the VP of Integrated Solutions Group for engineering standardization, process improvement, and engineering workforce development Support multidisciplinary engineering across KIHOMAC, including mechanical, structural, electrical, software and systems engineering Work with the Director of Program Management to ensure the KIHOMAC engineering infrastructure supports program execution needs and goals Participate in an engineering council consisting of the lead engineer from each of the KIHOMAC business units to allocate the development of practices and processes Identify and lead the implementation of engineering best practices Support engineering inputs to company critical certifications and audits, to include AS9100, Nadcap, CMMI, and CMMC Provide technical recommendations to program and business leaders on program execution and research & development projects Consult on engineering qualifications for new hires as requested by hiring managers, participate in the hiring process and interviews as required Manage team resource allocation, task distribution, and planning to support current and forecasted programs Ensure the engineering team contributes to business development requirements, providing timely, quality inputsMake recommendations on the rotation or assignment of engineers across the company Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Education/Training:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required
- Master's Degree preferred
Experience:
- 12+ years of professional experience in the required task area
Security:
- Must be a US citizen
- Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
Physical Requirements:
- Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
- Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
- Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
