Summary
As an Internal Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing the internal communications strategy for our organization to ensure operational efficiency and support thought leadership. You will be responsible for creating and delivering compelling content that engages employees and strengthens the company's culture. You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure all internal communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company's goals and values.

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Summary

You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure all internal communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company's goals and values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop and execute the internal communications strategy for the organization, including key messaging, communication channels, and tactics
- Create and deliver internal communications content, including email updates, newsletters, intranet content, videos, and presentations
- Work with key organizational stakeholders to ensure all internal communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company's goals and values
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications, and make recommendations for improvement based on feedback and data analysis
- Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure that internal communications are timely and relevant
- Identify opportunities to promote employee engagement and help foster a positive company culture
- Assist with crisis communications, ensuring all employees are informed and up-to-date
- Maintain the company's internal communication tools, ensuring they are up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with the company's goals and values
- Coordinate internal events and other initiatives to promote employee engagement and strengthen the company culture
- Plan and manage internal events, including company-wide meetings, town halls, employee activities and department-leading events
- Collaborate with the content development team to develop compelling imagery for internal and external platforms
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- BA/BS degree
- Preferred degree in Communications or Journalism
- 3+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or related field
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Excellent public speaking and presentations skills
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Experience with content creation and delivery, including email, newsletters, intranet content, videos, and presentations
- Knowledge of best practices for internal communications
- Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SharePoint and other folder sharing systems
- Experience managing and maintaining internal communication tools is a plus (internal email software, intranet, etc.)
- Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, GovWin CRM, etc.)
