Our client, a leading provider of consumer credit services, has an excellent opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to work on a 6-month contract opportunity. Work will be a hybrid schedule in Oakland, CA. The IT Support Engineer is crucial for ensuring seamless IT operations and supporting our employees with technical issues. You'll play a key role in driving IT projects and integrating systems and processes with our parent company.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $35 - $40 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Design, own, and drive IT projects and deliverables to accelerate the integration of systems and processes with the parent company.
  • Provide timely and effective onsite support to Credit Karma employees, resolving problems with IT, AV, and communications systems.
  • Assist with IT inventory management, purchasing, asset management, machine provisioning, onboarding, and other key processes.
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting of hardware, software applications, networking, and other technical issues.
  • Develop and document best practices, tools, and tips to enhance internal troubleshooting processes.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and third-party providers to ensure effective application support.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for team members and users, ensuring timely resolution of complex problems.
  • Develop processes for reviewing, testing, documenting, and improving team practices around security, automation, and issue response.
  • Engage with partners throughout the organization to proactively address concerns and technical pain points.

Experience Requirements:
  • G Suite: Proficient in administering and supporting G Suite applications.
  • macOS Support: Extensive experience with macOS troubleshooting, configuration, and support.
  • Jira: Familiarity with Jira for issue tracking and project management.
  • Okta: Experience with Okta for identity and access management.
  • Slack: Proficiency in supporting and troubleshooting Slack.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, cybersecurity, computer information systems, or related field.
