Looking for a SRE Lead resource for Business critical Application administration deployed in a hybrid environment - AWS and on-premise datacenter. SRE lead will join an existing global team of 6 other team members in San Diego and Hyderabad, India and will be working in a 24x7 (3 shift) support model to maintain Critical Business applications.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $70 - $80 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
Other duties include:
  • Working closely with vendor to determine the software deployment plan, any issue debug and timely execution with JIRA agile methodology.
  • Ensure high quality documentation that will include detailed SRE installation or configuration steps, custom procedures/scripts, testing or validation processes and how-to manuals.


Experience Requirements:
MUST Have skills:
  • 7+ years of experience of Application Administration having configured and maintained enterprise-level applications.
  • Experience working with Enterprise application management on one of the following Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, and/or Unix
  • Strong development skills creating scripts (Shell, Python, PowerShell) from scratch for process automation, performance metrics APM dashboard and monitoring.
  • 5+ years using critical thinking to debug complex technical issues independently and drive the resolution working with internal teams then documenting Incident, Request and Change/Release management process using JIRA and ServiceNow
  • Good understanding of software testing tools such as Selenium, JMeter, Junit, PyTest
  • EKS Administration
  • Strong communication - will have Scrum Master responsibilities including meeting with other Scrum Masters every 3 weeks to discuss dependencies and completed tasks towards overall progress and planning.

Other preferred skills:
  • AWS Certification - SysOps Administrator
  • Kubernetes certification
  • DevOps certification
  • IIS Administration skills
  • Experience working with Splunk log indexing, creating usage metrics dashboards and Datadog APM dashboards
  • Experience in automation of manual tasks or create self-service utilities using software such as Robot framework
  • Strong technical skills in DevOps Tools -- Jenkins, Git, Docker, Chef, Kubernetes, Terraform
  • Good understanding of Server, Storage, Networking and Well Architected Frameworks (WAF)
  • Working knowledge of Data Ingestion, Transformation, Warehousing, Machine Learning & data analytics concepts using AWS Data Lakes and Snowflake
