Technical Program Manager - Air Dominance

About the team

The Air Dominance and Strike Division is one of Anduril's fastest growing, most technically complex divisions. We develop and build collaborative combat aircraft, missiles, and the software that powers these autonomous weapons. We are looking for a Program Manager to lead Anduril's first program in the Republic of Korea (ROK) across various stages of the contract lifecycle from early R&D to contract capture and close. As a Program Manager, you will collaborate closely with partners for delivery to our ROK customer base, lead the development and integration of Anduril products and technologies alongside the Chief Engineer, and will be responsible for all elements of cost and schedule to ensure successful delivery of the program.

Success in this position hinges on two key facets:

Systems and engineering mindset. The ability to understand and assess technical concepts - identifying system dependencies, interfaces, technical risks and the impact of key architectural decisions with the engineering team

Execution mindset. Digging into the details, charting the path and owning the outcome. You will be expected to utilize your technical aptitude in conjunction with your program management, and leadership skills to deliver the best outcome for Anduril and the customer.

Collaborative partnership. Proactively managing partner and customer relationships and shaping the future of the program with the Korean government.

What you'll do

• Partner with the Chief Engineer to lead the development and deployment of Anduril's Air Dominance & Strike technologies in tight partnership with Korean industrial partners, ensuring they meet the operational needs of the Korean Ministry of National Defense (MND).
• Build strong, trusting relationships with Anduril's MND customers and Korean partners, creating tight feedback loops to shape solutions, iterate quickly, and field solutions rapidly.
• Autonomously execute broad and ambiguous requirements from internal engineering, customers, and third-party partners to ensure successful delivery of multiple programs simultaneously.
• Monitor and manage program progress regarding cost, schedule, and resource allocation, making strategic tradeoffs to deliver best-in-class solutions on-time and on-budget.
• Develop and implement lightweight processes, tools, and metrics for program planning, scope management, risk management, and Anduril-internal and customer communication, enabling rapid movement within Anduril.
• In partnership with Korean team, consistently support growth and expansion opportunities in Korea, for the AD&S Division as well as across Anduril's product suite.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (technical background preferred).
• Minimum of 8 years experience managing the development of complex technical systems throughout the product lifecycle. Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-million-dollar projects and driving their on-time, on-budget completion.
• Experience coordinating multiple internal and external teams within a complex engineering or technology-focused organization.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
• Fluency in both Korean and English.
• Ability to travel up to 50%

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Korean government contracting, acquisitions, and reporting processes.
• Experience with software engineering or software engineering management.
• Experience working with American companies.
• Prior military service.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
