In this role, you will leverage your expertise in electromechanical systems while working closely with software teams to integrate next-generation solutions. Your leadership will drive both product design and production process optimization, ensuring that our systems are robust, cost-effective, and ready for the field.

$254,000 - $336,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package. ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a Chief Engineer with a proven track record in designing new products and delivering hardware at scale in a manufacturing environment. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in electromechanical systems while working closely with software teams to integrate next-generation solutions. Your leadership will drive both product design and production process optimization, ensuring that our systems are robust, cost-effective, and ready for the field.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Innovative Product Design: Lead the design and development of groundbreaking electromechanical products from concept to production, ensuring they meet both performance and manufacturing standards.
- Manufacturing & Process Excellence:
Oversee high-rate hardware production in a complex manufacturing environment. - Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration:
Work closely with software teams and internal stakeholders to seamlessly integrate hardware and software, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and rapid innovation. - Strategic Client & Contract Engagement:
Apply your understanding of the JCIDS process and land-based systems (with extra credit for Military Department experience) to translate technical capabilities into client-ready solutions, particularly within DoD contract vehicles.
- Proven experience in designing new products and delivering hardware at scale in a manufacturing setting.
- In-depth knowledge of electromechanical products and hands-on experience with integrated hardware and software systems.
- Strong background in managing multidisciplinary teams and interfacing with software development teams.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing information dominance in challenging engineering situations by synthesizing communication streams from both internal multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience working within the bounds of a DoD contract vehicle.
- Familiarity with the JCIDS process and its application in ongoing project development.
- Exposure to land-based systems, particularly with Military Department experience that translates to client operations.
- Experience assisting in budget creation and process cost optimization.
- Holds Active Secret Clearance or higher.
