Essential Area of Responsibility:
• All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any/all candidates, with reasonable accommodation, if necessary. Work responsibilities may vary, depending upon assignment.
General Functions/Duties:
• Perform operations integrating robotic autonomous (RAS) systems.
• Successfully train to safely and effectively operate assigned systems.
• Safely conduct launch and recovery operations for assigned systems.
• Conduct maintenance on assigned systems in cooperation with technical SMEs.
• Develop and recommend operational and tactical-level guidance for the use of unmanned systems to achieve mission success.
• Develop schedules; plans of actions and milestones (POA&M); creation of products for planning, coordination, collaboration, or presentation; and other duties as assigned.
• Facilitate participation in Exercises, experiments and other events as necessary to ensure explore, test, revise, and/or iterate planning actions.
• Provide expertise and support on applicable Doctrine, Tactics Techniques and Procedures (TTP), Concept of Operations (CONOPS) or Concept of Employment (CONEMP), and event After Action Reports (AAR).
• Serve as part of an operations team with attention to government and contractor guidance.
Working Conditions:
• Working environment is a modern office physically located at Building C41, U.S. Naval Support Activity, Naples, Italy. Work is performed indoors while living in a low to medium terrorist threat environment with some potential risks to safety and health hazards related to electronics. Some travel required.
Experience Required:
• Retired or separated E-5 to O-4 or similar experience
• Tactical military experience
• Active SECRET clearance required, U.S. citizen
Experiences preferred (One or more of the following):
• UAS, UUV, or USV
• Robotics
• Platform/craft control and deconfliction
• Targeting/Fires
• Foreign language
Education:
• The minimum educational requirement is a Bachelor's degree in a related field or an Associate’s Degree in a related field and four years of specialized experience or a High School diploma and eight years of specialized experience.
