POSITION OVERVIEW
Seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic with an active U.S. Secret Clearance to perform structural modifications on special mission aircraft. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in aircraft structural repair and modification, with a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performing aircraft structural modifications, repairs, and enhancements on platforms in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Fabricating, installing, and repairing sheet metal components to support mission-critical upgrades, including ISR and CASEVAC/MEDEVAC configurations.
• Drilling, countersinking, riveting, and assembling structural components with precision to meet tight tolerances.
• Removing and replacing aircraft structural panels, components, and subassemblies as part of modification projects.
• Interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to execute tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including avionics and systems integration specialists, to ensure seamless modifications.
• Conducting quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with FAA and company standards.
• Documenting completed tasks and maintaining accurate records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Ensuring all tools, materials, and equipment are used safely and maintained in optimal condition.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Active U.S. Secret Clearance (required).
• 4-8+ years of experience as a sheet metal mechanic on military or special mission aircraft.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments used for sheet metal fabrication and installation.
• Strong understanding of aircraft technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS
• Valid Driver’s License
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship.
• Active US Secret Clearance
• Pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Pass FAA DOT pre-employment drug test.
• Pass a general health physical examination.
PAY
• $43 hourly
• 8+ years of experience have the ability to perform a sheet metal test for $45 hourly
• Split per diem available to those that qualify
• OT time ½
• Paid weekly after first week of work.
• 8 Paid US Holidays
