Responsibilities:
- Coordinates TO travel needs, including CONUS and OCONUS travel arrangements and claims, ensuring compliance with Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and organizational travel policies
- Consolidates travel requests , prepares trip reports, and facilitates approvals using Travel Authorization Request (TAR) templates
- Responsibilities include managing travel requests in the TO Management Portal once operational, verifying funding availability, and ensuring the active period of performance for all travel authorizations
- Arranges hotel and flight accommodations, procures necessary documentation such as passports and visas, and ensures travel needs align with the travel budget
- Additional duties involve managing the approval, entry, and payment of travel requests and expense reports, while troubleshooting any issues that arise during the processing of travel documents
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree in related field
- 4-9 years of experience coordinating travel in federal or DoD environment
- Working knowledge of Defense Travel Systems (DTS) or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of Joint Travel regulations
- Excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Desired:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Familiarity with DoD/GSA travel policies and processes
- Experience supporting CONUS and OCONUS travel
- Certification in DTS or completion of DoD travel training modules
Clearance:
- Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
Certification:
- DoD 8570 Baseline & CE certifications are required for all positions and may vary slightly depending on the skillset required to perform the role
