Responsibilities:
- Develops and integrates asset management processes to support IT operations across DAO SOUTHCOM
- Maintains accountability of IT assets, including inventory tracking, procurement coordination, and lifecycle management
- Supports communication transport services by assisting with wireless, cellular, satellite, and long-haul operations
- Assists in managing mission-critical SATCOM mobile radios, base stations, repeaters, and transmission platforms to sustain operational readiness
- Coordinates inside and outside cable plant services, supporting fiber, copper, low voltage, direct burial, aerial, and conduit infrastructure for enterprise communication systems
- Executes warehouse operations for IT equipment, including shipping, receiving, disposal, and storage, in compliance with local and U.S. DoS-certified warehouse requirements
- Assists with vehicle operations services for IT and ancillary equipment logistics , coordinating the transport of assets between Government warehouses and operational locations
- Supports security compliance efforts by maintaining physical IT asset records, security logs, and adherence to USSOUTHCOM policies
- Aligns asset management activities with enterprise configuration management process to optimize resource allocation and sustain mission-critical operations
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate 's degree in Business Administration , Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
- 4-9 years of experience in asset or property management , preferably within a DoD federal environment
- Familiarity with asset lifecycle management and government property accountability practices
- Experience with inventory tracking systems such as ServiceNow
- Experience with inventory control systems such as WASP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and DoD asset control policies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Working knowledge of IT asset management tools such as ServiceNow
- Familiarity with ISO 19770-1 standards
- Certified Professional Property Administrator or Certified Professional Property Manager
- DAU training CLM031 or CLM032
- ITIL v4 Foundation or higher
- IT Asset Management Certification
Clearance:
- TS/SCI clearance required
Certification:
- DoD 8570 Baseline & CE certifications are required for all positions and may vary slightly depending on the skillset required to perform the role
- CompTIA Security+ CE
