As a PROGRAM ANALYST (MEDICAL CBRN) at the GS-0343-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
  • Analyze, develop, coordinate, review, and revise joint medical CBRND capability requirements documents via the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS).
  • Participate in test technology development projects to include performance specification development and synchronization of testing capability development with supported acquisition programs.
  • Develop, coordinate, and evaluate documents having significant impact on conducting military and interagency operations pertaining to combating WMD and medical CBRND.
  • Review compliance with adopted CBRND strategies and policies in draft documents, pending program decisions, position papers, doctrine memorandum, speeches, reports, and correspondence as they relate to medical CBRND issues.
  • Prepare both formal and informal reports. Write, or direct, discussion papers, information papers and decision papers to include recommended Joint Staff positions during the JCIDS process.
  • Prepare and present informational and decision briefs related to medical CBRND requirements and programs.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other DoD and Federal organizations to ensure and enhance collaboration on joint medical CBRND requirements.

  • The incumbent is required to submit an OGE 450, as requested, and must obtain and maintain classified courier orders.
  • The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and/or overtime.
Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
  • Managing the development, production, staffing, and approval of requirements documents using the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System or similar requirements generation process.
  • Providing medical CBRND and CWMD direction for resolution of mission critical problems, policies, and procedures.
  • Providing oral and written decision support data, analysis, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Providing oversight of assigned contracts of task orders and Technical Area Tasks for medical CBRND support/studies.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
