In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Maintain network operation and maintenance concepts to establish connectivity between remote sites; 2) Develop and implement configuration management plans for complex Local Area Network (LAN)s and Wide Area Network (WAN)s to identify and resolve network issues; 3) Analyze network architecture trends to improve network access control; and 4) Configure hubs, switches and routers for reliable performance. - You will perform a variety of functions on a wide range of issues, provide advice and recommendations of system administration.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role codes 451 and 441, proficiency level Basic the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
