Endpoint Security Engineer

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance.

We are seeking an experienced Endpoint Security Engineer to support enterprise cyber defense initiatives. The ideal candidate will implement, sustain, and enhance endpoint security solutions that protect networks, systems, and data from malicious activity and unauthorized access.

Endpoint Security Engineer Responsibilities Include:
  • Implement and manage endpoint security tools, technologies, and processes to secure enterprise assets.
  • Provide engineering and sustainment support for endpoint security solutions.
  • Design and document secure system configurations and enforce system standards.
  • Analyze and recommend hardware/software solutions based on current and projected capacity needs.
  • Configure and install security products primarily in a Linux OS environment.
  • Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to integrate enterprise-wide security enhancements.
  • Contribute to the design, analysis, testing, and implementation of secure architectures.
  • Manage the sustainment and advanced configuration of security infrastructure and tools.
  • Lead investigation, documentation, and reporting of security incidents; implement corrective actions.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


Endpoint Security Engineer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 10 years of cybersecurity experience (additional experience may substitute for degree).
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
  • Must obtain CSSP Infrastructure Support certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Proficient in administering Linux-based applications and systems.
  • Experience with Tenable Security Suite (Security Center, Nessus Manager, Nessus Scanners).
  • Background in large-scale enterprise/global networks.
  • Familiarity with DoD Architecture Framework and DoD network planning standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to brief senior leaders.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
