As a DTS Travel Support Contractor for Defense Travel Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in assisting users with travel-related questions and concerns. You will serve as a Non-DTS Entry Agent and manage travel documents for authorized government travelers, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.

Responsibilities:
- Assist DTS users with travel inquiries and concerns, offering guidance and support for efficient travel planning and execution.
- Create and edit DTS travel documents for authorized government travelers.
- Receive signed manual vouchers or local vouchers and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and sign DTS vouchers and local vouchers using the T-Entered stamp for submission on behalf of travelers without reasonable access to DTS.
- Certify the accuracy of information contained in signed manual vouchers.
- Provide instructions to Travel Clerks and customers for accurately completing DTS documents according to internal and external policies.
- Review computer printouts, detect, and correct erroneous postings.
- Offer expertise to Travel Clerks, travelers, and approving officials to identify and resolve travel issues.
- Determine reasons for rejections and prepare necessary correcting documentation.
- Process travel orders for COMNAVSURFLANT civilian and military personnel, including authorization for domestic and international travel.
- Verify flights, rental cars, lodging, and expenses are accurate and comply with the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR).
- Assist in obtaining hotel reservations within per diem rates or military lodging facilities.
- Review travel authorizations and vouchers to ensure compliance with JTR, NAVSUP, FFC guidance, and COMNAVSURFLANT guidance.
- Verify with Agency Program Coordinator (APC) that the Government Travel credit card is active and credit limits are sufficient to cover all travel expenses.
- Consult with APC of Government Travel Charge Card transactions using the CITI Direct Card Management Systems (CCMS) to verify correct split disbursement for vouchers.
- Ensure all required receipts are uploaded into the voucher, are legible, and meet local guidance and JTR standards.
- Confirm airfare is ticketed and documents are stamped "approved" prior to traveler departure.
Requirements:
- Possess or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- High School Diploma
- Experience with DTS travel systems and processes.
- Knowledge of Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), NAVSUP, and FFC guidance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to detect and correct errors.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Government Travel Charge Card systems and procedures.
