We're looking for thoughtful, skilled professionals who thrive as trusted partners building technology-agnostic solutions and want to apply their talents supporting customers with difficult and important mission sets.

About the Role

Redhorse is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to provide critical support for the FBI's Regional Computer Forensics Laboratories (RCFL), field offices, Central Monitoring Plants (CMP), and other facilities. This mission-critical role ensures the reliable operation of sensitive systems, directly impacting investigations and national security. You will play a vital part in maintaining the integrity and functionality of Electronic Surveillance (ELSUR) collection systems, digital forensic systems (OCXS/ONTU), and associated networks at both UNCLASSIFIED and SECRET classification levels. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology within a high-stakes environment and contribute directly to national security.

Key Responsibilities

    • Maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of OTD-supplied ELSUR collection systems at UNCLASSIFIED and SECRET classification levels.
    • Management, operations, and maintenance of enterprise computer-based systems, including server installation, configuration, policy deployment, enforcement, and monitoring to ensure 24/7/365 continued mission-critical operations. Perform deployments, periodic maintenance, monitor for problems, and resolve systems and users' issues.
    • Support systems within a regional model where regions often span multiple states.
    • Liaise with telecommunications service providers to engineer, implement, and troubleshoot telephony input lines.
    • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP) with Government supervision, guidance, and approvals.
    • Assist in the resolution of user questions/problems regarding installed systems and equipment.
    • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance of systems to identify and correct performance, implementation failures, faults, or defaults that impair system/equipment performance and functionality.
    • Coordinate warranty work, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs to effect immediate corrections so that operations are not interrupted.
    • Perform preventative maintenance to adjust, maintain, or otherwise improve performance or enhance the overall maintainability of systems/equipment.
    • Conduct risk analysis to identify potential problems, systems/equipment modification and/or correction.
    • Perform inventory, logistical, and clerical support for shipments and deliveries of operational equipment.
    • Prepare administrative and other reports for submission to OCXS Management, OCXS Program Management (PM), and Field Office Customers as required.

Required Experience/Clearance

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems administration.
    • Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting complex IT systems.
    • Experience working in a collaborative environment with a focus on customer service.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Desired Experience

    • Experience with ELSUR or similar electronic surveillance systems.
    • Experience with digital forensic systems (OCXS/ONTU or similar).
    • Experience with telecommunications infrastructure and VoIP technologies.
    • Experience developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Experience working with classified systems at the SECRET level.
