Position Summary:
The Security Data Analyst will support the Navy's Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) mission by performing data collection, identity verification, certificate management, and security data processing for the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) Token Management System (TMS). This role ensures accurate management of cryptographic tokens, certificate lifecycle data, and compliance with DoD and Navy cybersecurity policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Identity and Data Verification:
* Conduct Identity Vetting of users to verify SECRET clearance and SIPRNet token eligibility.
* Collect, verify, and submit security data provided by potential certificate subscribers for PKI issuance.
* Register and enroll users, ensuring SIPRNet PKI certificates are issued within five working days.
Data Management and Reporting:
* Maintain and update master spreadsheets and databases for token management and certificate application tracking.
* Track Local Registration Authorities (LRAs) activity using the Global Certificate Authority (CA) Directory.
* Access and update external databases to support certificate issuance, verification, revocation, and key recovery.
* Manage certificate application request files and data archives in accordance with security policies.
Token and Certificate Management:
* Revoke, suspend, or restore PKI Class 3 DoD certificates upon request.
* Assist users and Trusted Agents (TAs) with downloading DoD certificates onto SIPRNet tokens.
* Validate and process requests for key recovery, recovering escrowed keys within 24 hours upon request.
Process Improvement and Compliance:
* Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including network topology diagrams and system access workflows.
* Perform Non-Person Entity (NPE) certificate validation and approval for both NIPRNet and SIPRNet.
* Conduct system testing and validation of NPE registration practices with Navy engineers.
* Ensure compliance with PKI policies, including DoDI 8520.02 and Navy cybersecurity regulations.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field.
* 2+ years of experience in security data management, PKI operations, or IT security support.
* Familiarity with DoD PKI and Smart Card (CAC) operations.
* Experience with certificate lifecycle management, including enrollment, revocation, and recovery.
* Strong knowledge of data verification, reporting, and security documentation processes.
* Proficient in using databases, spreadsheets, and PKI management systems.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple data streams and security tasks.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior experience as a DoD Registration Authority (RA), Local Registration Authority (LRA), or PKI data analyst.
* Experience with Assured Compliance Assessment System (ACAS), STIG compliance, and Navy cybersecurity policies.
* Familiarity with Navy command structures and operational protocols.
