Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to support the Tactical Communications & Electromagnetic Warfare Systems (PM TCE) Program Management Office (PMO). This role involves supporting systems engineering, software integration, configuration management, and cybersecurity activities across the PM TCE portfolio. The ideal candidate will have experience in Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition programs and a strong understanding of secure software development practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the development, review, and delivery of Systems Engineering Plans and related documentation.
* Participate in Configuration Management activities including Engineering Change Proposals and Configuration Audits.
* Assist in the preparation and execution of System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs).
* Provide technical input for Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs) and system specifications.
* Support integration planning and system architecture analysis.
* Assist in the development and maintenance of technical documentation including Interface Control Documents and Software Requirements Specifications.
* Support cybersecurity activities including RMF documentation, vulnerability assessments, and compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies.
* Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure software systems meet operational requirements and security standards.
* Participate in technical working groups and provide engineering support for test events and system evaluations.
* Support the development of safety documentation and coordination with the MCSC Safety Office.
Required Qualifications:
* U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
* 1 to 3 years of experience in software engineering and systems integration.
* 8 years of experience in software engineering and systems integration preferredd for senior role.
* Experience supporting DoD acquisition programs and familiarity with DoD 5000 series and RMF.
* Knowledge of configuration management tools such as CMPRO or Jira.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and meet MCEN access requirements.
Required Skills
* Proficiency in software development languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
* Experience with software architecture, system integration, and interface design.
* Familiarity with MIL-STD documentation and DoD software engineering standards.
* Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
* Experience with RMF, STIGs, ACAS scans, and cybersecurity documentation.
* Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
