Position Overview
Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) is seeking a seasoned Agile Scrum Master to lead and
coordinate Agile delivery teams across multiple concurrent software and systems
development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of Agile
frameworks, risk management, and technical team facilitation to enable rapid delivery of
high-impact capabilities.
This role requires a proactive leader who can collaborate effectively with stakeholders,
guide Agile ceremonies, and manage program execution from sprint planning through
deployment, ensuring mission and business objectives are met on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and facilitate Agile team ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand
ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Manage backlog grooming and prioritize user stories aligned with enterprise goals.
• Use Jira to track portfolios, products, sprints, and team performance.
• Coordinate project scope and estimate level of effort using t-shirt sizing and other
Agile estimation techniques.
• Collaborate across functional teams to align test and deployment activities.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable Features, MVIs, and user stories
within a Lean Agile construct.
• Coordinate system deployment approvals through reporting and system status
tracking tools.
• Monitor multiple high-visibility projects to ensure quality, timeliness, and
compliance with delivery commitments.
• Identify and mitigate risks, recommend corrective actions, and report on mitigation
status.
• Communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences and contribute to formal
project briefings and reports.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
• Demonstrated experience leading Agile development teams and managing full Agile
lifecycles.
• Daily Scrum facilitation across multi-disciplinary technical teams.
• Jira proficiency in backlog, product, portfolio, and sprint management.
• Proven track record coordinating technical teams for testing, deployment, and
reporting readiness.
• Strong experience tailoring complex information for both technical and non
technical audiences.
• Familiarity with Agile metrics including burn-up charts, sprint goals, and velocity
tracking.
• Risk management experience including identification, mitigation planning, and
escalation.
• Knowledge of the ATO process and managing projects under ICD-503 compliance is
a plus.
Desired Skills
• Recent experience with Sponsor-specific Lean Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with Sponsor-specific Jira workflows, segmentation tools, and SecOps
pipelines.
• Experience with sprint MVI burn-up reporting and top-line chart generation.
Education Requirement
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Project Management, or a related technical
field.
• Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Certifications
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile
certification.
• Additional certifications in Agile frameworks or project management are highly
desirable.
