The Facility Manager is responsible for the overall management and coordination of maintenance operations, project execution, and employee supervision for the assigned contract. This role involves directing and overseeing the delivery of services to customers, ensuring efficient resource management, compliance with company policies, and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders, including corporate headquarters, contracting staff, and other departments. The role requires a strong leader with excellent organizational skills, capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Project Management: Lead the planning, organization, and supervision of all maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, particularly in custodial services and outsources services.
-Hands-on Supervision: Balance managerial duties with hands-on involvement in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of building systems and equipment.
-Process Optimization: Regularly evaluate and improve procedures, methods, and materials to enhance performance and maintain budgetary goals.
-Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of all operational equipment according to the Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
-Policy Adherence and Implementation: Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and methods.
-Procurement Management: Ensure proper procurement and management of supplies and equipment, both expendable and non-expendable.
-Performance Management: Continuously evaluate and improve service delivery, addressing substandard performance in both operations and maintenance.
-Customer Relations: Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly.
-Complaint Resolution: Manage routine complaints effectively and escalate serious issues to the Operations Manager or designee.
-Employee Training and Development: Oversee employee training, work assignments, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
-Professionalism and Communication: Maintain a high level of professionalism and effective communication with all stakeholders, adhering to the chain of command.
-Administrative Duties: Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer applications for necessary administrative tasks.
-Timekeeping and Attendance: Review and approve employee time records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
-Work Allocation: Reallocate work as needed due to staffing changes or special project requirements.
-Scheduling: Plan and schedule regular cleaning and special projects, maintaining records of completed tasks.
-Team Leadership: Foster a positive and productive team environment, leading with integrity and respect.
-Supervision: Provide guidance, resolve conflicts, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of all tasks.
-Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager or designee.
