Position Summary:
Mayhew Technology Solutions (MTS) is seeking Low Voltage Technicians to support structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage installations. This position plays a critical role in supporting our work across government, commercial, and healthcare environments. This position also requires being flexible in location, as we have projects that come up all over the continental US.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, terminate, test, and certify CAT5e, CAT6, fiber optic, and coaxial cabling.
• Perform pathway construction (conduit, cable tray, raceways) and cable routing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
• Adhere to all safety and building codes and follow OSHA and job site requirements.
• Install and mount telecommunications equipment, patch panels, network racks, and cable management hardware.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance of installed systems.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, team leads, and clients to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
• Complete all documentation including daily reports, test results, and change orders.
• Ensure compliance with BICSI installation standards and TIA/EIA cabling requirements.
