Position Summary:
Mayhew Technology Solutions (MTS) is seeking Low Voltage Technicians to support structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage installations. This position plays a critical role in supporting our work across government, commercial, and healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, terminate, test, and certify CAT5e, CAT6, fiber optic, and coaxial cabling.
• Perform pathway construction (conduit, cable tray, raceways) and cable routing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
• Adhere to all safety and building codes and follow OSHA and job site requirements.
• Install and mount telecommunications equipment, patch panels, network racks, and cable management hardware.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance of installed systems.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, team leads, and clients to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
• Complete all documentation including daily reports, test results, and change orders.
• Ensure compliance with BICSI installation standards and TIA/EIA cabling requirements.
