Launch Vehicle Subject Matter Expert

The Launch Integration Advisor will support launch vehicle selection, mission integration, and interagency coordination to ensure mission success for national security space operations. This role involves close collaboration with the Assured Access to Space (SSC/AA) Program Executive Office and other government agencies, providing technical insight and strategic recommendations throughout the launch lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Researches, designs, develops, and tests structures, propulsion units, and guidance and control subsystems for the most advanced aircraft, missiles, or spacecraft.
• Provide technical assessments and recommendations for conceptual launch vehicle comparisons and selections
• Support early integration planning and activities for space vehicle and launch system compatibility
• Coordinate with SSC/AA and other space/launch system procuring agencies on mission requirements
• Recommend changes to existing mission requirements and assist with defining new ones
• Maintain insight into ongoing launch activities to ensure alignment with mission objectives
• Support planning and execution of Operational and Developmental Testing (OT/DT)
• Assist with operational mission planning as needed

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, a related field or equivalent experience. 12 years related aerospace engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience in classified weapon system launch planning, processing, and execution
• In-depth knowledge of space system design, testing, and integration with launch vehicles
• Strong understanding of launch vehicle development processes, schedules, and coordinating agencies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to liaise between multiple government stakeholders
• Active Top Secret clearance is required to start.
