Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Test Analyst with 4-6 years of experience in Health IT testing to support the planning, execution, and reporting of software testing activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in both Agile and Waterfall environments. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to test planning, collaborate across teams, and grow into a leadership path in test and evaluation (T&E).

Salary at Echelon Services is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $50,000 - $85,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Echelon's total compensation package for employees.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day testing activities across development and sustainment test events.
- Collaborate with senior test team members and the Government Test Manager to contribute to test planning, including scope, schedule, resources, and deliverables.
- Assist in analyzing requirements, designs, and architecture documents to define test objectives and design comprehensive test scenarios.
- Develop and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data to validate functional and non-functional requirements.
- Document test results and track issues and defects using test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
- Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and test readiness reviews.
- Communicate testing status, risks, and issues effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Support test data management and environment readiness activities in coordination with configuration and release teams.
- Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and quality assurance best practices.
- Gain familiarity with performance and automated testing tools, supporting senior staff on advanced test strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience in Health IT testing or related software testing roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies; experience with Agile tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on experience writing and executing test cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Familiarity with requirements traceability and defect tracking tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical and functional teams.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust Tier 2 clearance for DoD systems.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), ISTQB Agile Tester, or equivalent certifications.
- Exposure to automated test tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber) and performance test tools (e.g., JMeter).
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and continuous integration/continuous testing.
- Experience supporting federal Health IT programs, especially ACAT I or III programs.
- Knowledge of ITIL or ITSM processes.
