Job Title: Construction Facilities Engineering Manager
Location: McLean, VA (On-site)

Overview:
We are seeking a Construction Facilities Engineering Manager to support U.S.-based project operations for overseas U.S. Embassy construction efforts. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to secure, high-impact infrastructure projects supporting U.S. diplomatic missions worldwide. Candidates must have a strong background in engineering, procurement, and design coordination, with the ability to manage technical deliverables and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary liaison between the project team, government client, and architectural/engineering design partners.
Lead procurement planning, material take-offs, and acquisition processes for the classified areas of overseas construction projects.
Oversee engineering support and staffing coordination in secure spaces, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
Coordinate input from architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to ensure seamless design execution.
Review and track engineering deliverables; identify and mitigate risks; deliver routine project status updates.
Support submittals, RFIs, and change management documentation in coordination with client stakeholders.
Guide project execution from contract award through final construction documents.
Apply engineering knowledge and field expertise to resolve technical challenges and ensure compliance with specifications.
Contribute to proposal development, bill of materials preparation, and supplier quote packages.
Assist in technical reviews, item equivalency evaluations, and commercial grade dedication processes.
Represent the project team in meetings with U.S. Government officials.
Support continuous improvement in procurement engineering practices and cross-functional collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
4–5+ years of relevant experience in construction engineering, procurement, or design coordination.
Ability to interpret and work from construction drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting international or OCONUS construction projects.
Prior involvement in design/build projects for U.S. Government clients, especially secure facilities.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Primavera (P3 or newer), and construction project control systems.
Strong knowledge of procurement workflows and engineering support functions within a secure project environment.
